
Ms. Pushpa Khanal, born in Ilam, Nepal, is a multifaceted individual known for her contributions as a lyricist, writer, and humanitarian. She studied Political Science at Tribhuvan University and worked as a Gender and Crisis Management Specialist at Nepal Red Cross from 2004 to 2021. A passionate and creative soul, Ms. Khanal is recognized for her lyrical talent, having published over 200 songs and two music albums: Pratiksha and Abhinav. She is also the author of two books, Pokhiyen Yesari (Scattered) and Gaha Pokhiyera (Spoiled Tears), and her works have appeared in various journals, papers, and online platforms. A strong advocate for women’s voices in literature, she established the Damanta Khanal Memorial Women Writer Honor to recognize deserving but often overlooked female writers. Pushpa's life story, from a small village in Eastern Nepal to becoming an influential figure in literature and music, is one of resilience, determination, and creative passion. Ms. Khanal has been associated with Dahal & Associates LLC since 2022.
